Hanging out at Festival of the Arts, Grand Rapids!!!
My family and I went downtown for Festival of the Arts on Sat. June 4. We got to see some really cool art at the Art Museum, and vote for the people's choice award! (My choice didn't win! :( ) My kids had fun painting, making boats and paper airplanes, eating ice cream, getting painted and splashing in a fire hydrant. We also got to see my five year old neice dance! It was a blast! I highly reccommend you check out this annual event. It is always the first weekend in June, and all activities, exhibits and music performances are FREE!!! Can't beat that! Enjoy my slideshow of our fun!
Snowflakes!!!
I am once again participating in "30 days of creativity" through the OAISD. I chose this time around to create a blizzard of art in the form of snowflakes! Enjoy!
Making a gingerbread house with my kids!!!
I have been noticing how cool God is lately! He makes something like dying leaves, beautiful, and day turning to night like a painting. He is so good to us!!!
Thirty Days of Creativity!
I am participating in a group through the OAISD called "Thirty Days of Creativity."
This group is made up of educators in the arts who want to challenge themselves to stay creative. Each day they give us a challenge which we can try, but we also can post our own ideas too. I am doing a "doodle a day". I will post updated photos as I go, but I am doing a 3"X3" doodle each day and assembling them together as one big artwork. Everyday it changes, so keep checking! When you look through the pictures, can you see where I rearranged all the pieces? I started to get stuck in how I had them laid out, so I moved them all off to the side and restarted the arrangement!
